Insidious lies

An Introduction

Insidious lies are lies that get so embedded in our colective consciousness that they take on an aura of truth. Eventually this aura of truth just becomes the truth. This blog then, is intended to be a place where insidious lies can be posted for all to read.

Two examples of insidious lies are,

1.  the stories of the Bible. The insidious lie is that it is the inspired word of God. The truth is that it was compiled about five to six hundred years bce.
2. The insidious lie that Egypt was the first major civilization. The truth is that Sumer was.

Posting articles will be open to all; with conditions. The primary condition is, you need facts to support your claims. You can't just say something is true because the Bible told me so. Or, the RRepublicans are not telling the truth because a Democrat told you so.

My hope here is that eventually what's posted here will form the content of a book. those whose articles make up the content of that book will share in the profits earned by that book. Therefore any articles submitted should be copyrighted by the author and bear the copyright simbol "©" symbol.

As of December 12, 2010 this is a new blog. Articles for posting can be submitted as of January 14, 2011.

These conditions will be posted in full by January 1, 2011.
